Our Mission

Dancers at Summer Festival

Our mission is:

  • To train, send and evangelize as many of God’s people as we can by equipping the saints for the building up of the body of Christ until we all come into the full stature of the knowledge of God.  (Ephesians 4:11-13)
  • To honor the great commandment and fulfill the great commission.  To train up leaders to go into all the parts of the earth and preach the gospel to every living creature according to the word of God.  (Mark 16:15).
  • To restore the church to its original and former glory through worship and prayer.  That the church will once again reflect the glory of God in the earth so that all mankind will be drawn to Him.  To let our light shine where there is darkness.  To raise up a prayer center that will be a voice that makes an impact on our city and surrounding areas.  (Joel 2:21-27).
  • To be a church family that cares for one another and utilizes each others gifts and callings to build up the body of Christ.  (Ephesians 4:1-6).
  • To be a channel that God can use to get His kingdom into the earth to advance his kingdom.

Structure

In (Ephesians 4:11) we read that God gave to the church some to be Apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and some to be teachers to do the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body.

So what does that mean to you?  All that God gave to the church by way of structuring leaders was to build up the body of Christ, so that each individual can become all that God has called you to be.

Let’s take a minute to examine this structure that God has put into place.  Keep in mind that the reason that this is important is that without this order in place, the church is out of order.  This is why we have some of the problems we have in the church today.  Without order there is disorder!

  • Apostle = sent one.  There are many important aspects to the call of the Apostle.  An Apostle’s main function is that he/she is to bring order to the house of the Lord.  An Apostle also is a covering to both overseers and churches alike.  He/she is also called to start churches, often he/she himself/herself does not pastor but this does not mean he/she cannot.  An Apostle has a (proton) anointing.  This means they practice the law of firsts.  First to see and first to go.  First to establish and first to send.
  • Prophet = One who predicts future events.  The words of a prophet should call up, build up and cheer up.  However, a prophet can also stir up.
  • Evangelist = One who publishes the good news of the gospel.  Often times in the bible you find that they accompanied the Apostle during his travels.  An Evangelist can be sent to help start a church but, in the Bible we find that they would be called back to the original church that sent the evangelist out.  So starting or helping to start a church was just another aspect of the work that they are called to as Evangelists.
  • Pastor = One called to Shepherd a church.  He/she is called to a particular work as the Shepherd of the house.  To feed, nurture, and lead/guide the sheep.  A Pastor is also one who disciplines when it is needed.  A Pastor protects the sheep from being fleeced or attacked or killed.  The Pastor seeks God on behalf of the sheep.  This enables him/her to see the calling of God on each individual life which enables him/her to seek God’s help for that person to walk in their calling.  This is the work of the Pastor, making sure that they are equipped to be who they are called to be.
  • Teacher = One who teaches.  In this case one who teaches the Word of God.  I consider this a very important part of the five-fold Ministry.  Jesus said, “If you love me, you will feed my sheep.”
